Kraigg Brathwaite was born on 1 December 1992. He plays cricket for Barbados and leads the West Indies in Test matches. He bowls right arm off break infrequently and bats right-handed. When he scored 63 (212) against India in Delhi on November 6, 2011, he created history by being just the second West Indian to score two Test fifties before turning 19 years old.

Prior to succeeding Jason Holder as the regular captain of the test team, he served as Jason Holder’s de facto replacement in seven test matches.

• Kraigg Brathwaite, an opening batsman, made his first-class debut at the young age of 16, and he immediately left an impact by leading Barbados with 73 runs.
• He was initially called up to the West Indies Test team in 2009, but he didn’t play in an international match until Pakistan visited Basseterre in 2011.
• At the 2010 Under-19 World Cup, he represented his nation and led the West Indies in run scoring.
• In each of his first three Test matches, Brathwaite failed to score a run, but after his first 20 games, he had amassed 1325 runs at a strike rate of 36.80, including one double century, three centuries, and six fifties.
• He scored 116 against England in the second Test in April 2015.
