Originally scheduled to take place in 2020, the International Cricket Council (ICC) declared in July 2020 that the event has been postponed due to the COVID-19 epidemic. The ICC also confirmed in August 2020 that Australia would host the rescheduled tournament in 2022.
This year’s T20 World Cup is one of the most awaited cricket competitions. Later this year, in October and November, the competition will be held. During the competition, all of the top countries will compete against one another. The tournament will follow the same structure as the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2021. Australia is the defending champion as well as the hosts.
T20 Cricket World Cup 2022 Schedule
The 8th T20 cricket world cup will be held in Australia from October 16 to November 13, 2022, and will be held at the MCG. On October 16, Sri Lanka will face Namibia in the first round of the event. It lasts nearly a month, with the grand finale scheduled for November 13th.

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will be played in 7 different Australian stadiums: Simonds Stadium in Geelong, Bellerive Oval in Hobart, Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney, Perth Stadium in Perth, Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, The Gabba in Brisbane, and Adelaide Oval in Adelaide.

The ICC has declared the prize money for the T20 World Cup 2022. The champion of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 would get a reward worth 12 crores. And the runner-up will receive 6 crores, while the finalists will receive 3 crores each.

In India
In India, Star Sports is the official broadcaster of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. As a result, all of the tournament’s matches will be telecast on the Star Sports channel in India. The live streaming will be available on Disney+ Hoststar, where subscribers may watch the games.
