Sandesh Jhingan Career
Jhingan, who was born in Chandigarh, acquired his football instruction at the St. Stephen’s Academy. Jhingan was a member of the Manchester United Academy team that advanced to the South-East Asian finals of the Manchester United Premier Cup. He also played for the Chandigarh state under-19 squad, helping them win the B.C. Roy Trophy.
Jhingan was called up to undergo tryouts at I-League 2nd Division side United Sikkim in November 2011 after excellent performances for his state side and youth squad. Jhingan’s tryouts were successful, and he joined with the club the following month, in December. Jhingan helped United Sikkim achieve promotion to the I-League after playing alongside former India internationals Bhaichung Bhutia and Renedy Singh in 2012.
Youth
Jhingan was called up to the India under-19 squad after winning the B.C. Roy Trophy for his state team. Jhingan, on the other hand, was unable to attend due to injuries. Jhingan was then called up to the senior Indian squad for their pre-season training in February 2013, but was unable to participate due to injury.
