Shimron debuted in Twenty20 during the 2016 Caribbean Premier League. He received the red-ball contract in 2018 after being the CPL’s youngest batter to make a century. Shimron was acquired by Royal Challengers Bangalore from the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the same year.
